Rose Ambassador (Hjermind & Weiss 1930) Etymology

There are at least three rose varieties named ‘Ambassador’, two of them having been hybridised by Meilland (France): the first in 1979 with the registration name MEInuzeten and the second in 1995 with the registration name MEIbigoud. An earlier ‘Ambassador’ (this one) was bred by Hjermind & Weiss (Germany) in 1930. According to HelpMeFind entries for ‘Ambassador’ roses, all three varieties are commercially available.
