Bow Bells requires a loamy soil with a ph of 5.5 - 7.0 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.Hybrid variety. Will not grow reliably true to type from seed.
Named after the bells of the church of St. Mary-le-Bow in London’s east end. London lore has it that a Cockney is a person “born within the sound of the Bow Bells”.
