How to grow Rose 'Altissimo'

Shade tolerant; disease resistant.

Twice-yearly application of cow manure with compost. Late summer application of organic blood and bone.

Remove older canes, hard pruning late winter.

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Altissimo is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Ideally plant in loamy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 4.5 and 8.0 as Altissimo likes to be in moderately acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Altissimo from seed

Hybrid. Will not grow true to type from seed..

Transplanting Altissimo

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Altissimo is a hardy plant.
