How to grow Swede 'Marian'
Keep in mind when planting that Marian is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will survive though longer winters with little or no damage. Marian requires a loamy and clay soil with a ph of 6.5 - 7.2 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.
Growing Marian from seed
Look to ensure a distance 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) deep.
Transplanting Marian
Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Marian is a very hardy plant.
