Borage 'White'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that White is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures.

Sow 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 11.7 inches (30.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 20°C / 68°F to ensure good germination.

As White is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.

Before borage flowers it can be used as a form of green manure by chopping them down into the soil thus releasing the nutrients back into the soil.¹
