Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Alba is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Alba tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 5.6 and 7.4 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

Use in pots and tubs as a foliage display. Not frost hardy so must be protected in the winter either in a greenhouse or conservatory. It could survive outs side in winter in zone 8 or 9 if given the protection of a warm wall in a sheltered position.
It can cope with most soil types as long as it drains well

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Alba is a tender plant.
