Once established this tree does not need a lot of supplemental watering. Pruning time is winter. Very light pruning only to remove suckers after establishment. Seed pods can be left on branches for birds to enjoy.

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Zuni is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures.
