Japanese aralia 'Variegata'

Needs regular weekly watering and more often in extreme heat.¹

Will grow good in humus rich soil that is evenly moist. Feed with a balanced slow release fertilizer in spring.²

Try to plant in a location that enjoys dappled sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Variegata is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. A soil ph of between 5.5 and 8.0 is ideal for Variegata as it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

As Variegata is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
