Trumpet vine Etymology

‘radicans’ means that the stems have roots along their length.
Sometimes called “Hummingbird Vine” due to it’s ability to attract hummingbirds.

The name “cow itch” comes from an itchy sensation that some people get after touching the vine. The itchiness should only last a few minutes and not cause a long lasting rash like poison ivy does.13
