How to grow Lavandin 'Provence'

  • Full Sun

  • Low

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Provence is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. A soil ph of between 6.0 and 7.0 is ideal for Provence as it does best in weakly acidic soil - neutral soil.

Growing Provence from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.23 inches (0.6 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 15°C / 59°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Provence

As Provence is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
