Enjoys a full sun position in your garden and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Egg is thought of as tender, so remember to ensure that temperatures are mild before moving outdoors. Planting Egg in loamy soil with a ph of between 5.0 and 6.0 is ideal for as it does best in moderately acidic soil to weakly acidic soil.

Start seeds indoors six weeks before last frost date.

Aim to sow 0.78 inches (2.0 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 2.60 feet (80.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 12°C / 54°F to ensure good germination.

Transplant out when around 15cm (6 inches) high.

Plant to the first set of true leaves to promote strong root growth.
