Seed Swaps

Tomato 'Big Boy'

I got three seedlings from a family friend the beginning of March. At the moment they’re still living in their peat pots, but I’ll set them out in a couple of weeks.

This planting is in the Vegetable garden .

When you planted your tomatoes, did you bury the stems? They should get buried at least half their height, because the stems put out roots, which makes the plant stronger. If you didn’t do it yet, you can still mound the soil around the stems, which is better than nothing.

Ah, no, didn’t do that. I planted them in their peat pots and figured as long as that was buried well they would be ok. Alrighty, I’ll put some more dirt around them. They sure are growing! =)
