Was purchased from Burpee as I did not have time to plant seed. All of the tomatoes I received from Burpee were in a sad state. All of them were exceptionally small, and they are supposed to ship for the proper transplant date in your area, for southern Houston that is more like early March. Here’s hoping the plants actually can produce some tomatoes being shipped to me so late in the season and sent a couple months after I ordered them. Though I did learn a lesson here, when they say that they ship to your zone at the proper planting time, check and see what they think the proper time is versus the actual planting time. I may have just paid forty bucks for some pretty plants that came in far too late to set any fruit. As a side note, now that the plants are established all but the black krim rebounded from the sad condition I received them in.
This planting is in the 20" raised bed pine frame - Edibles garden .
