Amaryllis - White

Why would I buy an amaryllis that is described as “Amaryllis: This pack contains 1 White bulb”?
Because it cost all of 1 dollar? Perhaps. But it irritates me. I want to know the variety. Perhaps I’ll just call it the Walmart generic white amaryllis.
