Plant Rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis 2344

Care Instructions

Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) if planning to sow direct.

Rosemary normally reaches to a mature height of 3.25 feet [imperial: 1.00 metres] so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.

Your garden is in partial sun light: plant in a location that enjoys full sun.

Try to apply water fairly sparingly.

Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (6b) is not within the ideal known range for Rosemary. The recommended range is between Zone 7 and 10. You may have to reassess this planting for suitability in your garden.

Everytime I try rosemary from seed…it won’t grow! Lucky you.

I’ve heard that a lot! It was the first time I tried to grow it from seed, I must have had just the right conditions or something (peat pellets + fluorescent light + spritz from the water bottle every day). No special heating or anything, it was by a slightly cool window. Perhaps rosemary needs cooler temperatures to germinate?
