Found as an unknown seedling under the lorepetulums in Spring 2012 never guessing it would be a magnolia. In Spring 2013 when it got it’s 1st real leaves I thought it could be from my neighbors ‘Lil Gem’ magnolia since it grows near there. By summer it had about 6 large leaves like ‘Southern’ magnolia and I knew it must have been planted by birds. It’s very healthy and 12" tall & wide and has 14 leaves as of March 2014.
NOTE: 2018 it’s about 10’ tall & 8’ wide. I want it to stay low & is about 3’ from the ground to lowest branches & a perfect pyramid shape.
This planting is in the Front of House - North garden .
