Update: By accident I chopped a branch and started it in water and when rooted I transplanted it to a gallon planter.

Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 3.96 feet (1.22 metres) and sow at a depth of around 0.25 inches (0.64 cm) if planning to sow direct.
