‘Local Color’ (Keith Keppel, registered 1995). Seedling 89-79B. TB, height 40" (107 cm), mid season bloom. Standards roman purple (M&P 44-K-10); style arms slightly lighter (42-K-9); falls dark purple (47-L-12), narrow violet (42-JK-8) edge, slight white patterning near beard; beards orange vermilion (2-G-12). ‘Witches’ Sabbath’ X ‘Gallant Rogue’. Keppel 1996. Honorable Mention 1998; Award of Merit 2000; Wister Medal 2002.
