This Daylily was originally on the left side of the steps at the front door. After a few years it needed to be dug up and divided. It was cut into 4 pieces. One went to the 2008 Bulb Swap, the other three were planted in a cluster to the left behind the Cedar Tree. By November it is establishing well, already sprouting new fans.
This is a very pretty lemony-yellow lily with a wonderful fragrance. I will miss that while on the front walk.
An old variety from the 1920s, ‘Hyperion’ is a classic for its ease of growth and clusters of fragrant, lemon-yellow flowers.
