Caryopteris x clandonensis - Blue Mist Spiraea 'Longwood Blue'

I bought the “Longwood Blue Bluebeard” on clearance at Wal-Mart and planted Sept. 30, 2007. It looked healthy with no dead stalks or leaves. Planted at the far end of the Corner Garden.
In 2008, the plant survived almost being buried alove by dirt dumped on our neighbor’s driveway. By May 11, it had broken dormancy with new leaf growth. The first buds appeared August 8, and the bush was abotu 2 feet tall. The first flowers started to bloom on Aug. 25 and by Sept 5, it was in full bloom.

This planting is in the Corner garden .

Purchased.
