Seed Swaps

Stapelia gigantea

The succulent has a velvet texture. The flowers are big, furry and stinky. Flies sometimes like to lay eggs on it producing maggots. Cool huh?

This planting is in the Succulent Balcony garden .

Already in my garden (I didn't plant it)

Hi Katie, I’d love to send you seeds, but this plant needs a specific type of insect to get pollinated which I don’t get. Not sure if you’d love the smell of the flower though, also it seems flies love to lay their eggs in it, which produces maggots. But I truly love this furry stinky flower :D

I love the flower!! I would do not think that I would like to grow something stinky though!! I think that citronella plants are stinky enough!!
