Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 3.90 feet (1.20 metres) and sow at a depth of around 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Winter squash 'Butternut' normally tends to reach to a mature height of 30.0 cm [imperial: 11.7 inches] so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
