Yvonne had many seedlings coming up in the lawn next to a marigold bed. She kindly offered them to me instead of just mowing over them. It was after a few showers when we went and dug them up. The soil was nice and easy to dig.
Their flowers are/will be the single kind, with deep yellow and random maroon strips. These seedlings are in a big pot waiting to be transplanted after the current rain has stopped. They – at least some of them – will be in the veggie garden to protect against some of the pests. The ones I have tried to grow from seeds are sprouting at very minimal rate, so I am very grateful that I have received these for free!
