Spider Plant

I’ve grown Spider plants at home for many years now. My first ever plant came from a small Spider I pulled of some very old plants in the Youth Employment Office waaay back in 1966! That then multiplied over a few years till I went abroad in 1972. As I never returned home, to live, I don’t know what happened to them. Obviously they died & were thrown away.

Anyway I got my last plant from a public display just the day before they were all lifted to make way for the autumn bedding plants! I knew they would be lifted in a day or two so it wasn’t luck but rather good timing! That plant is still with me & I’ve had it at least 8 years now! It lives on a shelf in the kitchen close to the window.

A few months ago I put another spider in a little pot & it is doing very well. I did repot it but it has spent the last 6 months, or more, on our living room table.
