I ordered a Laura Bush, but received a Nancy Reagan Rose from Jackson & Perkins. I discovered it when the bareroot rose was transferred to the raised bed when the backyard was re-done.
Her unwavering devotion is clearly reflected in these long-lasting, profoundly graceful blossoms. At first, we were surprised that Mrs. Reagan selected an apricot rose to bear her name, rather than a patriotic red. But, when she explained how she’d been captivated by the luminous blooms, we quickly understood! The first lady chose this rose for its captivating blend of apricot hues. Long stems and excellent keeping quality make this an ideal choice for cutting.
The perfectly formed flowers progress from light apricot to a more intense shade, lighting the summer landscape with elegance and dignity. (PPAF)
