Nabbed from my sister’s backyard. These are a real heirloom — they’ve been passed down the family from my great-grandmother. If I am right that this is sweertii, the variety is extremely old; it’s a natural hybrid that was first collected in 1612.
It could also be ‘Madame Chereau’:
but I am leaning toward the identification with sweertii
