Do you have any tips about how to safely harvest your basil? I watched some videos on youtube but I think I may have hurt it when I pruned it down. All the stocks I cut from are all woody now.
I pinch off leaves pretty frequently. It seems to grow more the more I harvest! I also read that you need to pinch off the flower buds as soon as they appear. I haven’t had any problems, my plant is really hardy. It gets lots of sun and water too.
This is from the Care Instructions:
Pinch or cut the leaves off as required, but always from the top. When the plants begin to produce flowers, pinch those out as soon as possible to encourage more leafy growth.
