Seed Swaps

nigella

we sowed seed for the first few years that we were here, but soon realized that it is a prolific self sower. There is always nigella at the front, and we love it for it’s airy, spiky, soft foliage, it’s papery, secretly complex petals and spectacular seedheads. It has to be one of the most photoogenic plants in the garden.

we seem to have lost the pink, so most of the flowers range from a deep blue, to palest hint of blue (nearly white!). That’s fine by us.

This planting is in the front garden .

Planted.
