climbing pea 'Mills'

Made a teepee and planted some peas – they’re within the correct planting time, but apparently they can be frost affected, so crossing my fingers. I’ve never grown shelling peas before, only snow peas and sugar snap, so it’s nice to try something new. I added compost to the soil and some lime a couple of weeks back, so hopefully that will help.

Sadly, I have had a bad outbreak of chocolate spot fungal disease – I really need to raise the beds for peas. The Mills will have to go.

This planting has been archived (Died).
