Hibiscus: Painted Lady

Fast Growing! That’s all i have to say about this gorgeous hibiscus. Its gotten huge since i bought it in November. The leaves are the size of tea saucers and although its been slow blooming (because it currently is in partial shade), I know it will pick up in the summer when it will get more sun. I like it so much that I purchased another one (much smaller) and added it to my Strawberry Fields garden. Its been very easy to care for and in fact I feel like I “saved” it from Home Depot because it was dry and frail when I got it. I meant for it to be a filler plant and placed it in an inconspicuous place in the garden. Now it’s ridiculously vigorous and a beautiful bright green. I like it so much I’m thinking about moving it to a more prominent spot in the garden.

This planting is in the Back Fence garden .
