This really is a very unusual hippeastrum with slender twisted petals of ivory, soft green and burgundy looking not unlike a Catherine Wheel. It arrived today and the bulb is HUGE so I have high hopes for a good performance in its first year. There is already a flowerbud peeping from the neck of the bulb. I sized it up for a six inch pot and had to settle for the seven and a half because it had less than half an inch of space all round.
