Chlorophytum comosum ‘Ocean’ has fabulous long and strappy foliage, variegated in green and white. The long, slim flower stems cascade over the pot with clusters of small, narrow leaves and tiny star-shaped white flowers.
It likes a bright filtered light position and must definitely be kept out of direct sun.
Chlorophytum is native to South African forest floors and has been kept as an indoor plant for decades. The wild plant is solid green; plants with white or yellow variegation are sports that have been kept going by propagating plantlets.
This planting is in the Shadehouse garden .
