Eggs

I’ve been very remiss about keeping track of egg numbers. And yes, I know it’s winter, so not the best time to be counting eggs as most of the chooks are moulting (& not laying!). However, I thought it was about time I started counting eggs, hence this “planting”!

Points to note: Our chooks are Pekins – a bantam variety of poultry that is not renowned for producing copious numbers of eggs. They are good layers but they also go broody & can have quite a long non-laying season when moulting. Also…our original girls have been here since 2007…so this is certainly not an up to date harvest tally!

This planting is in the Poultry garden .

Planted.

This is great! I love the creative & relevant ways gardeners are using folia to track growing things. Now you just have to input the ‘variety’ of this Gallus gallus domesticus – it’s likely there are others with similar ‘plantings’. ;D

Hehehe. Not sure if the powers that be would like me adding this particular ‘planting’ into the wiki… ;)
