Jade 'The Big One'

This was a cutting I dropped into a pot a couple of years ago, and during the weekend just gone I finally put it out into the ground. It has been very happy in it’s pot, so i hope very much that bit will be as happy in it’s new spot and will continue to thrive.

This planting is in the Greenhouse garden .

A jade for sure; in the Crassula genus. Hard to tell if this is the miniature variety of this Jade. Probably Crassula ovata, the full sized version. Slow growing, will flower in the winter if receiving enough sun, and develop a burgundy colored edge around the leaves as the plant matures.   Mondo

Hey Mondo it seems you are right again! The weather here is starting to warm up, and I had a close look at the leaves of this one last night to discover that it has very deep red edges on the leaves – just like you said. Good call.
