Tomato 'Silver Fir Tree'

So, I am growing tomatoes for the first time in about seven years. I purchased three late-season heirlooms; the one here is a Russian variety called ‘Silver Fir Tree’. Potted up with 50% Danish potting soil (peat and long fiber) along with 50% of my home grown compost. Believe it or not, I’ve never used my own compost for planting before. Well, so far this experiment is a smashing success. Can’t wait to taste these puppies!

I will post more photos of this tomato plant; very unusual specimen with unique fir-like leaves and a very attractive overall appearance. Looks great potted on my patio.

This planting has been archived (Harvested).

Planted.
