And here they are! They very patiently waited for me to get back from my weekend break – there were three fairly decent sized ones ready by today. I picked them and popped them in a salad.
So, on to the important stuff:
Taste: I think they tasted absolutely amazing, very sweet and hugely flavoursome. This could just be “I grew this” high talking here – so we’ll see how it changes over the season ;)
Texture: The skin was quite thick compared to the supermarket cherries we were using as our “control” for this very (un)scientific test, but not in a way that detracted from the texture, so they are very suitable as a salad tomato.
Better than a remember the Totems and Orange Pixies from last year, so they go straight to the top of the Tomatoes That I Have Grown Taste Contest :)
