Coming through the garden gate is a joy, it is like an emersion in growth and colour, a stepping into a different world. So satisfying.
Yesterday was hot 31C and very windy all day, desiccating weather for plants. There was a short period of calm around sunset and then the wind started up again and blew through the night. This morning I struggled down to the studio against a wild northwesterly. A crack or two of thunder and the weather has eased somewhat. At mid-afternoon my thermometer says 20C but it feels hotter so the humidity must be high.
Some plants look a little battered from the wind but most are standing up to it really well.
Tiger Lily Citronella Blooming
Some are shattered by the wind but there are still a few buds and blooms just opening
