The cloud makers still at work, Monday saw thunderstorms with accompanying downpours although we mostly got the edge with little actual thunder; Tuesday raining overnight, grey and drear until early evening. I doubt we’ve had 24 hours without rain this month, no wonder the mozzies are such a pest. This infestation was helped by low water levels on our much dammed Columbia River last year along with the hot dry Summer which meant that mozzie eggs didn’t hatch that year and were waiting for the perfect summer to hatch this year. Rain and more rain so every little puddle and a few large ones are mozzie hatching beds… alas!
