Yesterday as a result of the thunder storms, there were a lot of new wildfires, not in the immediate vicinity happily, but the air was full of smoke. The rainfall with the storms had raised the level in the rain gauge to just below an inch. Today the weather was much cooler, threatening clouds rolled in all day with the occasional splatter of rain. Whether because of the rain or a change in wind direction, the air was clear today.
The flower in the Aechmea is still hiding below the top of the leaves, although it is now beginning to get the purple petals (?).
