Solanum tuberosum – Potato ’Kerr’s Pink Irish Heirloom’
These were delicious, so I save a few of the smallest ones to use for seed in 2014. I had them in a paper bag in a dark cupboard over the winter. Today I reached into that cupboard for something without looking, and felt something plant-ish. Well it turned out to be a very long root from one of the potatoes that had grown long enough to escape out of the top of the bag.
I got the bag and looked at the potatoes. The roots were incredible! I guess I will be planting these very soon. No need to chit!
