Outdoor Tour, Part 3

16 Feb 2014
Clear -13°C / 9°F

It’s Family Day, and I was able to take a tour of the “back 40” on snowshoe today and record some of the interesting plant life.

  1. The pond border garden, and the pond… nearly full of snow.
  2. A pattern created by the wind near the pond border garden.

Marvelous tour! Thank you for sharing. My feet even feel cold after viewing your photos LOL!

Glad you liked it! It was a pleasant day for a walk, as there was little wind – you might be surprised to know that I was too warm and snowshoed for quite a piece with just a long sleeve T-shirt & snow pants, plus my trusty “I am not a deer” vest!

I can also tell that the sun is getting stronger, and it feels like spring is just around the corner. I’m planning to attend a St. Patrick’s day get-together where they will hopefully be boiling sap, which apart from the grade school field trips, I’ve not participated in before, so I hope spring gets a move on so the sap will be flowing next month!

I love it when the snow looks like meringue :)
