An update on my Redtail Hawk family

If you all had a chance to read about my fledgling hawk in the garden blog, you may be wondering like I was what ever happened to my baby(s), as I was very concerned about the neighborhood dogs (including my own chows) grabbing the babies on the ground when we weren’t looking.

Well I’m happy to say, there are 2 younglings now up in the Douglas Fir trees, squeeling for all they are worth for mom and dad to come feed them (from dawn till dusk)

Yesterday I was so lucky to have caught these images (the first of the baby….the other 2 are of one of the parents) as baby was getting a flying lesson while I painted my arbor….and thats me putting on the primer on my arbor….the final paint is matte black…very striking!!! I’ll show you pix of that in the next post.

You can see all the photos and read more at my blog at this link

Have a beautiful weekend everyone!!! Happy gardening!!

Yay that the babies are growing up well! Great pictures!

Thank you Kath!!! It’s a real relief to see them up in the trees rather than worrying about them on the ground thats for sure!!!
