Even though these plants are generally very small outside in the garden on our bedroom windowsill they have now grown 45/50cm tall & they have had no end of flowers! I can’t show you a photo because it is very difficult to get one! From the outside the light is generally too strong & there is a lot of reflection on the glass. This makes the flowers practically invisible! From the inside it just the opposite – the strong light from outside makes the plants again almost invisible because they come out almost black. I’ve taken a few photos but most I have had to delete for one or the other of the reasons above.
However I have been able to get one recently , from inside, which after increasing the background light, is better than I have been able to get for a long time.
I have had to throw these plants away as I couldn’t keep them over winter where they were. Even though they got all the light available they still grew very tall & weak. They flowered very well but with the Amaryllis supporting them removed they couldn’t remain upright under their own efforts.
