Your guide is clear and concise, reflecting knowledge gained in many years of experience. There is no higher praise. I hope to put your wisdom into practice some day soon.

Thanks, Hotwired, for posting this last PDF as I was able to download the others as well. My old computer went West a few weeks ago taking all my documents with it! Therefore I lost these PDFs that were stored on the HDD of the old computer.

They will be of great help to me when I set up a new Strawberry bed on the allotment I share with my friend Gerry, from church. I set up a new one some years ago but it is once again covered in Bindweed. :-((

I will make the new bed up on a part of the plot free of Bindweed – but then the current bed was free of Bindweed when I planted it up!

Thanks Hotwired. I’ve read through your Propagation from Runners and Growing Tips so far. Very useful and informative. I’ll put your wisdom into practice and see if I can get my current strawberry plant and its solitary runner to survive. My success rate to date has been 100% failure!

I tend to think its the fact that I live in the wet tropics, rather than cultivation practices that is the main problem. Nonetheless, I will follow your advice and see if things improve.
