Last fall, I removed the distressed West Indian lantana that nearly covered the mailbox each summer. I widened the bed a bit and covered with decomposed granite. I then worked with my daughter to pick plants. She loves lamb’s ear so we started there. We then added some phlox and transplanted some coreopsis that had become hidden beneath a rosemary. We plan to add more butterfly attracting plants this spring.
