2010: Last year’s Container garden was pretty successful. Hardly any bad bugs (except for snails and slugs, but I did a nightly Snail Watch for a week or so with lots of success), definitely no infestations, no real soil problems (other than my own ignorance in regards to watering). Most everything will continue to be planted in containers again this year, although I am building a small raised bed for a few things probably better suited for planting in longer rows (corn, turnips, mizuna, carrots, etc).
2009: Everything I am planting will be grown in containers this season. My yard (ie, sandy, compacted clay soil and serious drainage problems) is not suited for most plants, so we’ll see how this experiment works. :)
