My garden of gardens. A garden of raised beds, one is my “salad in a box”. I love the square foot raised bed gardening method. Grow what you need and want and use companion plants to deter pests and improve health and flavor. What is not to love.
Bed 1 was my first built and planted bed for this new garden of gardens. It is 4 × 10 with the 10 foot running east to west and it’s on the far north side front right corner of the main garden plot.
The front row (south side of bed) running west to east is planted 1 basil, 2 dill, 1 Thyme, 1 Nasturtium, 4 french marigolds, 1 Nasturtium, 4 marigolds, 1 Rosemary, 4 chives and 1 Basil
Row 2 is 9 sugar snap peas, 9 sugar snap peas, 9 sugar snap peas, 2 celery, 2 celery, 2 celery, 2 celery, 36 heirloom green onions, 16 carrots, 36 radishes
Row 3 – 1 corn, 1 corn, 1 corn, 1 beef steak tomato, 1 bs tomato, 1 bs tomato, 1 bs tomato, 36 heirloom green onions, 16 carrots, 36 evergreen green onions
Row 4 1 corn, 1 corn, 1 corn, 1 bs tomato, 36 muscan salad mix, 25 musc mix, 36 musc mix, 1 Cherry tomato, 1 cherry tomato, 1 cherry tomato
