Thimbleberry Front Door Garden

This was an existing small bed overrun with weeds.

Compost tilled in. Old plants removed except for one fern at deck corner and weeds and ferns under deck.

Plants:
ferns, incl. painted ferns and crested and hart’s tongue; two white astilbe and one fragment of pink on the right; tiarella; lungwort; brunnera; campanula spreading; coral bells; small white flower iris; spiraea (may move); saxifrage groundcover; new toad lily; polemonium; one columbine; thalictrum robruch. ; aruncus aethus; bleeding heart (dead?); autumn crocus, a few daffodils; ?

Considerations:
The spouse wants a wrap-around deck someday. If it runs over this bed, the non-plant zone may need to increase and the front plants may need to be swapped for more shade-lovers.

Status Aug 2013: Step 1, Half dug up
2014 – tilled & compost added to outer zone.

Located in United States, TolCath's Thimbleberry Front Door garden is an outdoor garden that currently contains 25 plants.
