This is a bit of a long term project, and while we decide what we can cope with and what we can afford, I’m putting in some potatoes!
While the rose garden is being set out, I am continuing with a bed of asparagus, a second bed contains raspberries and a loganberry, and the third non-rose bed has blackcurrant and gooseberry.
These beds may become rose beds in the Big Plan but they are quite productive and not much trouble or time at the moment. The currants particularly are occupying the shady corner and doing well, so no hurry to get rid of them at the moment
