This garden was called “Shady backyard” until it was transformed in early 2013.
The enormous tree, whose name is unknown to us, continued to drop leaves to the point that clearing the ground was a tedious job. The main canopy was then removed, leaving a bright, new look to this back yard.
Sun-loving and mostly water-saving plants were started to be planted in. A new turf was laid. A path was paved along the back of the house, leading to the corner of the yard where a small area was planned to be a paved seating place, overlooking the whole site.
It has been exciting to see the changes in this backyard in the last year. This garden is continuing its journey to be transformed into a more mature garden.
